APPS for hearing impairment

I saw on one of my classmates publications a post that talks about 26 different assistive technology tools for people with visual impairment so that makes me think, and I decided to do a search about different apps that people with hearing impairment could use.


SIGNSLATOR: Acts as a translator. It can transmit and translate messages. It has more than 12,000 words or phrases, each of one recorded with a sign language interpreter. You can also send sign language messages through Facebook and Twitter.


SingARTE: Detailed information on more than 100 cultural spaces in Spain with videos in sign language, web pages, emails and contacts. It also informs about the cultural offer close to your location.


SIGANME: There are videos where the different signs of Spanish sign language are presented in an easy, fast and intuitive way.


TeCuento: Its aim is to promote the habit of reading and literary creation through Spanish sign language.


PETRALEX: It turns headphones into an artificial hearing aid that works just like regular headphones.


FORESIGN: serves to provide information to guide and advise immigrant deaf people and facilitate their integration into Spain. The application has videos in different sign languages.


COLORCALL: uses flash, vibration, and custom color to alert you of incoming calls.


VISUALFY: recognize the noises in every room of your house. For example, it notifies you when the washing machine runs out.

AVA: it shows you a transcript of the dialogue in real time.


uSound: consists of an intelligent personal hearing system to help people with hearing problems in situations such as: listening to a class, a conversation, a conference, a movie…


MOOVIT: allows you to plan your trip, it helps you move around the city easily.
