Topic 1: Inclusive education
I would like to explain a very interesting project that has been started in my town, in a school where there is a high percentage of immigrants where boys and girls who would not have guaranteed access to music school can enjoy and learn together by developing orchestra classes in school hours.
This project aims to link education and the arts in the classroom, and thus achieves an improvement in the school climate, promote social integration, enhance intercultural dialogue and increase learning skills in the beneficiaries of the project.
This project seeks to provide tools and instruments for personal and environmental growth through the learning of the violin and cello during school hours. The experience serves socio-educational and artistic purposes. Thus, the results not only answer instrumental technical questions, but also have an impact closely linked to the development of personal and emotional skills as well as habits of listening, respect and teamwork. The educational community is the main actor considered because it includes the school, family and context triangle.
This artistic proposal acts as a creative engine that positively reinforces the collective image of the group, thus favoring the gestation of a sense of identity and increasing the self-esteem of its recipients, decisive factors for school success, cohesion, and creating opportunities.
The aim is to bring the world of education into dialogue with that of artistic creation and the cultural offer. Promote intervention projects in the field of education for the arts and with artists to highlight the potential for development, social inclusion of the arts and culture. And train audiences and citizens, creators and consumers critical of the arts and culture. The link between education and the arts in the classroom makes it possible to achieve an improvement in the school climate, foster integration, enhance intercultural dialogue and increase the learning capacities of children and young people.
