Peer-tutoring TEI

The TEI program is an educational strategy for school coexistence, designed as a practical measure against school violence and harassment, has an institutional character and involves the entire educational community. It is an important resource in the process of participation, awareness, prevention and development of intervention programs in the coexistence of the school. It can be adapted as a measure against desmotivation and failure, not only curricular, but also personal and social.

Its aim is to act as a preventive measure against violence and bullying in primary and secondary education. It has an institutional character and involves the entire educational community. It is based on the help (social, emotional and personal) of peer tutors.

The TEI program is applied to primary and secondary. In the first case, fifth graders are emotional guardians of third graders; in high school, third graders are emotional guardians of first graders. They have some tutoring formals and some informals.

I took part in it during the first year of high school and I personally don’t think it served me very well because I already had siblings and cousins there who preferred to ask them things and explain what was happening to me. However, I think that for people who come to high school and know nothing and everything is new, it is a very interesting project because in addition to helping you adapt in this new place, your tutor will also help you. it can help in other areas of life.

What do you think; do you think it is a good proposal? Do you think it can work to reduce bullying in schools and institutes? Or school dropout?

I attach a video that explains it in more detail.
